Today’s everyday clothing styles are a far cry from the fitted full length gowns we traditionally call wedding dresses.  The fabrics are different.  The cut is different.  The fit is different.

Few women are. But don't let that discourage you. Browsing through countless bridal magazines can be a frustrating experience for many.  The models are often beyond perfection.  What looks like a dream gown in a New York photo shoot, may not be the right selection for your figure, facial structure or wedding style. That is when the advice and consultation of a wedding expert becomes an essential part of finding your gown. 

Meet with the Designer

At POSH, you meet and consult with National Award Winning designer Janell Berté.  (People Magazine's Gown of the Year , National Bridal Manufacturers Award for Quality, Midtown International Theater Festival Outstanding Design), Someone who understands how garments fit.  How they flow.  How they draw the eye to your best features. You need someone who doesn't follow the trends, but helps set them.

During your consultations we will:

Explore the right gown profile for your figure. A-line, Princess, Empire, Mermaid, Ball Gown, or Sheath will each compliment your figure in different ways

Discuss the style of your wedding and how the fabrics, trims and cut of your gown can best match your vision.

Help you match your accessories (jewelry, headpiece, veil, shoes) for a unified, classic look.

For all our clients we offer:

Alterations to perfection. We don't ship out our alterations like some stores.

Final pressing and detailing of your gown. Your natural fiber gown is a living, breathing piece of art, deserving of the loving care found at POSH.

Local delivery of your gown (including day of wedding). No need to worry about transporting the gown to your wedding. We can help dress you as well.

Museum grade cleaning and preservation. We can guide you or arrange for the after wedding care of your gown.
